The Sanford City Council will hold a public hearing on a proposed Amendment to Sanford City Ordinance, to add an Ordinance titled Parking Ticket Enforcement.
The public hearing will be held at 6:00 pm on June 7, 2022. The current Ordinance can be found on the City of Sanford website.
This hearing will be conducted both in person in the City Council Chambers, third floor, City Hall Annex 919 Main Street and via remote video and teleconference pursuant to 1 MRSA §403-A. Members of the public may visit the City of Sanford website at www.sanfordmaine.org and view the meetings calendar for instructions to access the Zoom meeting or call (207) 324-9173. Comments may also be submitted by using the form on the City’s Website under Email City Departments/City Council.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Sanford Charter Review Committee will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 6:00 PM to receive comments on proposed amendments to the Sanford City Charter.

The hearing may be held in person in the Sanford City Hall Council Chambers and via remote video and teleconference pursuant to 1 MRSA §403-B (2) (D) and section 6 of the Sanford City Council Rules of Procedure as amended May 2, 2022. Instructions for joining the meeting by in-person and remote methods will be posted June 3, 2022 on the City’s website at www.sanfordmaine.org/meetings. The meeting will be broadcast on cable channel 26 and archived at https://townhallstreams.com/towns/sanfordme.
The proposed amendments will be brought forward to the City Council for review and another public hearing on June 21. That meeting will be advertised separately, but details will also be posted on the City’s website and Facebook pages.
NOTICE TO CLAIM COVERED PROPERTY, DANGEROUS BUILDING
12 FIELDSTONE LN identified as Tax Map R11B, Lot 89, and further described in deeds recorded in the York County Registry of Deeds at Book 6298, Page 120 and Book 6981, Page 241 and Mortgage recorded at Book 6298, Page 122, the owner and parties in interest are hereby notified, pursuant to 30-A M.R.S.A § 3106 that within twenty one (21) days of June 3, 2022, all covered property, including all tangible personal property located in or on the said property must be claimed or removed. If covered property is not claimed within 21 days and possession of the covered property is not taken within 10 days of claiming it, the City may sell the covered property and apply proceeds from the sale to help recover expenses; or if the property has no market value, otherwise dispose of the property. The City Manager was authorized and directed by the City Council to take the necessary steps to abate the nuisance condition, including removal and disposal of said building, and securing the property. The City will recover all expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees and costs, by means of special tax or civil action. You can discuss this notice with the Director of Community Development for the City of Sanford prior to the expiration of this notice at (207) 608-4101 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.
