If you own a local business, why not enter the Friends of Downtown’s Selfies with Sanford Scarecrows contest? Get on the map with a traditional, scary or fun themed scarecrow or one that represents your business or brand. Community members will be encouraged to pick up a map and visit participating businesses to snap a selfie, tag the business, and tag the photo on social media so that they can be entered into a contest to win fun prizes. Participating businesses will be visited by a panel of community judges and the top three scarecrows will be featured in the Sanford Springvale News. To sign up, register online at https://forms.gle/jTNtjV7uZB59umFr8 by October 20th. Be sure to indicate whether your scarecrow will be inside or outside. Have your scarecrow set up for Selfies by October 25th. Don’t own a business? You can adopt one and make a scarecrow for them. FMI: Email friendsofdowntownsanford@gmail.com
