Win a Fully Loaded Christmas Tree – Complete With Gifts
By Michelle McCarthy
By all accounts, the 5th Annual Spree of Trees event has been an amazing success. The Sanford Alumni Association is sponsoring the event, which started Thursday and runs through noon today (Sunday, Dec. 3) at Sanford Memorial Gym. Festive decorated trees, loaded with many valuable gifts, were donated by 123 local businesses, families, and organizations. Culinary arts students at Sanford High School donated delicious cookies, and vendors came bearing all kinds of holiday shopping opportunities.
The event is free, but you can purchase raffle tickets for one of these valuable trees. The event is open today from 9 am to noon, when organizers will begin drawing the winning tickets. If your ticket is pulled, you will be called immediately, and you’ll be asked to pick up your tree – and all the gifts under it – by the end of the day.
