Sports Notes: April 1
The Nasson Community Center gym floor is done and it is beautiful! The community also stepped up with donations to purchase 30 new basketballs for the gym, which is now open again for basketball, pickleball and other activities.
Sanford Springvale Little League is having a field and equipment cleanup day on April 17. Assignments will be allocated at the Goodall Little League Park, 38 Roberts St. at 8:00 a.m. Sign in to receive volunteer credit and please bring your own equipment, such as rakes, shovels, buckets etc.
Registration is open now for kids age 13-15 to play Sanford Babe Ruth Baseball. Register at https://sanfordbaseball.sportngin.com/register/form/057635001. They are looking for coaches and managers for the season as well.
The Sanford Mainers have announced two new assistant coaches for the 2021 season. Nick Andriole will assist with position players and hitters, and Kyle Darmstead will serve as pitching coach. The New England Collegiate Baseball League season starts on June 3.
