SHS Athletes, Teams Recognized by Portland Press Herald

Sanford High School students Sophie Olivio and Audrey Payeur were recently named athletes to watch this fall by the Portland Press Herald. Olivio, a junior, is a goalie on the Sanford girls’ soccer team. Olivio was a first-team all-conference player last season. Payeur, a senior midfielder for the field hockey team, is a returning all-state selection for the Spartans. She had 16 goals and 19 assists last year.
The field hockey team was ranked No. 5 for teams to watch in southern Maine. Payeur, Zoey McCann, Miah Mondor, Paige Sevigny, Sadie Sevigny, and Megan Shepphard were all mentioned as key players for Sanford.
