Sanford Lacrosse Senior Scores 200th Career Point

Sanford senior Ayden Lockard scored his 200th career point for the Noble/Sanford Varsity Boys’ co-op lacrosse team against Morse on Friday, May 17.

Lockard has helped lead the boys’ lacrosse team to a 7-3 record as of Wednesday, May 22.

SHS Senior Named WMTW Scholar-Athlete of the Week

Sanford High School senior Tanner McCann was named WMTW’s Scholar Athlete of the Week on Thursday, March 16.

The senior received the recognition two days after throwing a complete game shutout against Falmouth, allowing five hits and striking out 10.

McCann has helped lead the Spartans to a 9-4 record as of Wednesday, May 22.

SHS Senior Makes Round of 16 in Girls’ State Singles Tennis Tournament

SHS senior Olivia Guinard had a great run in the Girls’ State Singles Tennis Tournament at Bates College in Lewiston.

Guinard, an eight-seed, beat Falmouth’s Charlotte Williamson 6-0, 6-1 in the first round. Her run in the tournament ended in the round of 16, losing to Cony’s Kira Gregor 6-3, 6-1.
