Bissonnette scores winning touchdown to lift Sanford over Noble
Jordan Bissonnette scored for a touchdown and then ran in for a two-point conversion with 44.7 seconds left to give the SHS football team a 21-20 win over Noble High School on Tuesday, October 31, at Alumni Stadium. Bissonnette scored three times for Sanford, which led 13-7 at halftime.
With the win on Tuesday evening, Sanford has qualified for the postseason. The team will head into the playoffs as the #4 seed. They will travel to #1 seeded Thornton Academy on Monday, November 6 for a 7 pm Class A South Regional semi-final game.
Basketball open gym
The Memorial Gym in Sanford is now open to the public for recreational basketball on Monday nights. You can form teams and play 4-on-4 and 5-on-5 from 7-9. The cost is $4 a night. Pay the supervisor on duty the night you attend. No registration is required. The program runs until April 8, 2024. More information Here
Bowling leagues
Bowl-A-Rama is taking sign-ups for its adult and youth leagues. The 12-week program starts the week of November 6. Bowl once a week at your own convenience. The cost is $20 per team, including shoes. If you have questions or would like to sign up, call 207-324-2401.
