Sanford High School’s volleyball team recently beat Portland 3-0 behind a strong performance by Samone Gallagher, who had nine kills and 11 digs.

Gabriella Favolise and Ellery Genest each had eight assists for Sanford.

On Wednesday October 2, Sanford High School senior Audrey Payeur had three goals and four assists to lead the Spartans field hockey team to a 9-0 win over Portland/Deering on Wednesday at Alumni Field.

Ali Long and Olivia Tremblay each scored twice, and Hailey Payeur had a goal and three assists for Sanford, which scored six goals in the third quarter.

On Friday September 27, the football team lost to Kennebunk, 48-20.

Scott Robitaille rushed for two touchdowns for the Spartans.
