Press Release
The raspy vocals, high-intensity stage moves and captivating stage presence of Tina Turner will light up the Sanford Performing Arts Center stage next month with “PROUD TINA: The Ultimate Tribute to Tina Turner.” Ticket sales are already strong for this show, set for 7 pm on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
With a full band, brass section, backing vocalists, and dynamic dancers, this tribute show is the ultimate celebration of Tina Turner and an unforgettable night out. Dance and sing along to iconic hits that made Tina a music legend, including “Simply the Best,” “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” “River Deep Mountain High,” “Proud Mary,” “Nutbush City Limits,” “We Don’t Need Another Hero,” “What You Get is What You See,” and “Private Dance.”
This is more than a concert; it’s an exhilarating journey through the phenomenal career of the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll. This show is produced by the same folks who brought the sold-out Whitney Houston tribute show to SPAC in January 2024. “Proud Tina” is not associated with the estate of Tina Turner.
Tickets for adults range in price from $49 to $69, with discounts for subscribers, students, seniors and military veterans. Call the box office at (207) 206-1126 or visit in person Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am-noon. Online ticketing is available 24/7 at www.sanfordpac.org.
