The Sanford High School football team pulled away for a 31-20 win over South Portland

Rhylen Avery rushed for 135 yards on six carries and ran for three touchdowns as the Sanford High School football team beat South Portland, 31-20, on Friday, September 15. Jordan Bissonnette and Carter Mills each added running scores for the Spartans.
Hailey Tarbox scored twice to lead the SHS girls soccer team to a 2-1 win over Marshwood on Wednesday, September 13. Goalkeeper Sophie Olivo made seven saves for Sanford.
The field hockey team rolled to a 6-3 win over South Portland/Westbrook on Thursday, September 14.
Sadie Sevigny and Lili Lam each scored twice for Sanford.
On the same day, the boys soccer team suffered a 4-0 loss to Portland, and the volleyball team fell to Bonny Eagle, 3-1. Samone Gallagher led the team in kills and blocks.
The golf team is now 2-4 on the season following a 9-4 win over Massabesic on Tuesday, September 12. Ayden Lockard shot a 46 over nine holes.
The Sanford High School football team remained undefeated Friday night, 9/22, when they prevailed over Marshwood High School 42-6. Their next game will be at home against Thorton Academy on Friday, 9/29.
