Working where the wild things are: Sanford Middle School Jobs for Maine’s Graduates (JMG) students visited the Center for Wildlife in Cape Neddick recently to explore careers in wildlife biology and rehabilitation. The Center for Wildlife has operated for over 30 years and has aided over 50,000 animals. During their visit, a wildlife biologist shared insights into her career and guided students through creating enriching activities and nutritious meals for various species. She also showcased the educational aspects of wildlife biology and animal sciences. Through hands-on activities, the students gained valuable experience in the field. In addition, the visit gave them a deeper understanding of the role of a wildlife biologist in wildlife rehabilitation and allowed them to gauge their interest in pursuing a career in the field.
