Sanford Boys’ Basketball Picks Up Big Win Over Scarborough 
Makai Bougie scored a game-high 20 points, including four 3-pointers, as the Spartans beat Scarborough, 64-59, in Sanford on Tuesday, January 23rd. Brady Adams added 15 points, while Dylan Gendron chipped in with 14 for the Spartans. As of January 24th, the Spartans are third in Class AA South, with the regular season coming to a close in a few weeks. 

Sanford Girls’ Basketball Falls to Scarborough 
Sadie Sevigny and Paige Sevigny combined for 22 points, but Sanford fell to Scarborough, 40-32, on Tuesday, January 23rd. As of January 24th, Sanford is fourth in Class AA South. 

Registration Open for Sanford/Springvale Little League 
Registration for the Sanford/Springvale Little League season is currently open and will close on March 1st. Due to the expensive preparations and planning that need to be made before the start of the season, they will not be able to accommodate registrations after that date. Payment plan options are still available. Head to Sanford Springvale Little League’s Facebook page for more information. 

Mainers Official Scorer/Game-Day Operator Returning for 2024 Season 
Matt Place is returning to the Mainers for 2024, the team recently announced. Place will take over the duties of the team’s official scorer and serve in a game-day operations role in the front office.
