New shows, returning favorites scheduled for the SPAC stage
You’ve come, you’ve cheered and you’ve told your friends and family. Now the word about Sanford Performing Arts Center’s quality showcase is out, and this season’s new lineup is already creating a buzz around its new shows and returning favorites to our Sanford Stage!
“The secret is out! Folks are really starting to catch on to Sanford Performing Arts Center’s world-class touring performances right here in Sanford,” said SPAC Director Brett Williams. “We’re elevating the arts in Southern Maine, and the response from our community and beyond has been overwhelming.”
The 2023-2024 Partners Bank Spotlight Series lineup includes season includes 13 touring performances plus two student-produced shows:
The Capitol Fools – Political Satire and Parody: Saturday, October 21 at 7 pm
Comedian Juston McKinney: Friday, November 24 at 7 pm
Strafford Wind Symphony’s Holiday Pops: Saturday, December 2 at 7 pm
Portland Ballet’s A Victorian Nutcracker: Saturday, December 9 at 2 & 7 pm
The Greatest Love of All – A tribute to Whitney Houston starring Belinda Davids: Wednesday, January 3 at 7 pm
The Fourth Wall – Fruit Flies Like a Banana: Saturday, January 20 at 3 pm
Step Afrika!: Sunday, January 28 at 7 pm
The Four C Notes, The Premier Tribute to Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Saturday, February 10 at 7 pm
Hanna Powell Memorial Piano Competition: Sunday, March 3 at 2 pm
The Mindreader: Mentalist Ken Axell: Saturday, March 9 at 7 pm
Neil Berg’s 101 Years of Broadway: Saturday, April 6 at 7 pm
Pete the Cat – special schooltime shows for grades K-3: Monday, May 20 at 9:30 and 11:30 am
