Sanford’s top ten graduating seniors were recognized at the Sanford Elks 50th Annual Youth Awards Banquet on May 4. They are:
Isabella Farrington, Valedictorian, will attend Messiah University in the fall, majoring in politics and international relations, with a concentration in American politics. Isabella was also recognized as the Elks’ Student of the Year.
Ella Hoenig, Salutatorian, plans to study biomedical engineering at Boston University.
Adia Hermann will attend the University of Maine at Orono to study agriculture and wildlife biology.
Lydia Pease will be studying at Connecticut College, where she hopes to obtain a PhD.
Celia Perks plans to study education or journalism at Oberlin College.
Olivia Martin will study biomedical services at the University of New Hampshire, with plans to become a doctor.
Joshua Werner is planning a dual major in electrical/computer engineering and business at Worcester Polytech.
Daylin Soule is headed to UMaine Orono to major in mechanical engineering.
Alison Machinski will attend Gordon College in the fall, with a major in nursing.
Alec Mercer plans to study mechanical engineering at the University of New Hampshire.

The Elks also recognized Ryleigh Ham (Cosmetology) and Kurtis Voter (Engineering & Architecture) as Sanford Regional Technical Center (SRTC) Students of the Year. Laila Adawadkar and Joshua Werner were awarded Teens of the Year, and the Elks Junior Students of the Year were Felix Rothwell and Isabella McCall.
Sanford High School Graduation will be held Tuesday, June 7 at Alumni Stadium.
