On Sunday, January 9, there were no arrests or summonses. Sanford Police responded to a domestic disturbance on Alfred Rd. and took a report of a stolen vehicle on Jackson St., among other calls.
Monday, January 10, a 41-year-old Sanford resident was taken into custody on a warrant. A motor vehicle accident on Main St. led to a 38-year-old Sanford resident being summonsed for leaving the scene of an accident and operating a vehicle without a license. Sanford Fire and EMS also responded to that accident. Among the other calls that day was a stolen vehicle on Heritage Crossing, and disturbances on Timber Ridge Ave. and Alfred Rd.
On Tuesday, January 11, a 39-year-old Sanford resident was taken into custody and charged with being a fugitive from justice, while Sanford Police were assisting another agency to a call on Carver St. A 22-year-old Sanford resident was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief, following three calls to the same address on Yvonne St. Two other arrests were made that day, one on Main St. while officers were assisting another agency, and another on June St. on a warrant. Four motor vehicle accidents were among the other calls that kept officers busy that day.
Wednesday, January 12, there were no arrests or summonses. Among the calls that day were drug incidents on Main St. and Wm. Oscar Emery Dr., breaking and entering on Lefrancois Ln. and disturbances on Brook St. and Riverside Ave.
On Thursday, January 13, officers were called to a burglary in progress on State St., a report of larceny/forgery/fraud on Renaissance Way and a domestic disturbance on High St., among other calls.
Friday, January 14, there were no arrests or summonses. Motor vehicle accidents on Twombley Rd. and Main St., and a domestic disturbance on Old Mill Rd. were among the calls that day.
On Saturday, January 15, a motor vehicle accident on School St. led to a 25-year-old Sanford resident being summonsed for operating after suspension with a prior OUI. Among the other calls that day were a burglar alarm on Maurice Ave., a drug incident on Harvard St. and a report of larceny/forgery/fraud on Smada Dr.
Sunday, January 16, a 39-year-old Sanford resident was arrested on a charge of domestic violence terrorizing following a call to a Main St. address. A burglary of a motor vehicle was reported on Payne St. in Springvale. Two reports of vandalism, on Eastern Ave. and Paul St., were among the other calls that day.
In the early morning of Monday, January 17, a disturbance on Main St. led to a 39-year-old Wells resident being summonsed for criminal mischief and violating condition of release. A 31-year-old Sanford resident was summonsed for operating with a suspended registration following a motor vehicle stop at High St. and Heritage Crossing. Disturbances on Trafton St. and Nason St. were among the other calls that day.
On Tuesday, January 18, four motor vehicle accidents kept officers busy. Two were on Main St., one on Beacon St. and another on Blanchard Rd. in Springvale. A juvenile runaway on Emery St. was investigated.
Wednesday, January 19, a 41-year-old Springvale resident was arrested for operating under the influence following a motor vehicle stop on Main St. A report of shoplifting on Main St. led to a 23-year-old Springvale resident being summonsed for criminal trespass. A kidnapping was reported on High St., but the person concerned (an adult) was located in Lewiston, not in any danger. Other calls that day included disturbances on Bodwell Ct. and Main St. in Springvale, and violation of protective order on Dorrington Ave.
Thursday, January 20 was a very busy day for the Department. A 24-year-old Biddeford resident was taken into custody on a warrant. A disturbance on Main St. resulted in a 30-year-old Acton resident being summonsed for obstructing public ways. Three motor vehicle stops resulted in summonses as well: on Main St., a 19-year-old Sanford resident for operating after suspension; on Winter St. and Riverside Ave., a 45-year-old North Berwick resident for operating after suspension; and on Main St. in Springvale, a 28-year-old Springvale resident for failure to register vehicle more than 150 days.
On Friday, January 21, just past midnight, officers issued a warning following a disturbance call to Winter St. A domestic disturbance on High St. resulted in a 25-year-old Limerick resident being taken into custody for domestic violence assault. A 52-year-old Sanford resident was summonsed for shoplifting on Main St. A report of vandalism on Stanley Rd. in Springvale was among the other calls that day.
Saturday, January 22, a 23-year-old Springvale resident was summonsed for criminal trespass and violating condition of release following a shoplifting call to Main St. A motor vehicle stop on Twombley Rd. resulted in a summons to a 27-year-old resident of Monroeville, PA, for speeding 30+ mph over the limit. A stolen vehicle was reported on Main St., and a call for a burglary in progress was investigated on Central Ave.
