Sunday, January 30, there were no arrests or summonses. Among the calls Sanford Police responded to were a sex offense on Main St., a report of vandalism on Palace Dr., and a stolen vehicle on Riverside Ave. Peace was restored to a domestic disturbance on Kent St.
On Monday, January 31, officers responded to an assault in progress on High St., where a 41-year-old Wells resident was summonsed for assault and threatening. A disturbance on Pleasant St. in Springvale led to a 30-year-old Acton resident being summonsed for burglary of a motor vehicle and refusing to sign the summons. Among the other calls that day were four motor vehicle accidents.
Tuesday, February 1, a motor vehicle stop on School St. resulted in a summons to a 63-year-old Sanford resident for operating under the influence. An assault on Oak Ridge Rd. was investigated.
Wednesday, February 2, was a very busy day for the Department. A motor vehicle stop at High and Spruce Sts. led to a 51-year-old Sanford resident being taken into custody on a warrant. While assisting another agency on Manor Circle, Sanford Police arrested a 41-year-old Hollis resident for violating condition of release. A motor vehicle stop on Stebbins Rd., resulted in a 21-year-old Sanford resident being summonsed for operating after suspension. A 31-year-old Sanford resident was arrested on two outstanding warrants as well as violating condition of release following a call to Thompson St. Disturbances on Railroad Ave., Terry Dr. and Brook St. were among the other calls that day.
On Thursday, February 3, a 39-year-old resident of Rochester, NH, was summonsed for shoplifting on Main St. A report of burglary on Grammar Ave. led to a summons on criminal trespass to an Acton resident. Reports of vandalism on State St. and Main St., and harassment on Pine St. in Springvale were among the other calls that day.
Friday, February 4, paperwork was served to a 58-year-old Sanford resident on New Dam Rd. for a past assault. Officers were called to Patriots Ln. for a domestic disturbance, and arrested a 36-year-old resident of Dover, NH, for domestic violence assault with priors. An arrest was made following a report of shoplifting on Main St., no details given. A motor vehicle stop on Industrial Ave. led to a 36-year-old Sanford resident being arrested as a fugitive from justice.
On Saturday, February 5, a 45-year-old Biddeford resident was arrested on charges of domestic violence assault and violating conditions of release, following a report of a domestic disturbance on Main St. Among other calls that day were another domestic disturbance on School St., two animal complaints and three motor vehicle accidents.
