People Around Town: October 27, 2022

This past week, Sanford firefighters trained on extrication procedures. The vehicle was provided by Chandler’s Automotive and Towing.

Joshua Rousseau, pictured below with SCAE Director Jayne Perkins, is the latest graduate to earn his high school credential from Sanford Community Adult Education. Congratulations!

The torch, or rather the lobster, has been passed! Goodall Library has welcomed Miss Lexi as the new Children’s Librarian for ages 0-12, taking over from Miss Nicole who has been promoted to Assistant Director. Miss Nicole will continue to handle Teen Services.

Spiderman took a break from fighting crime to stop by Mercy Chapel’s Harvest Party last week. The weather was great for this fun annual event.

The Sanford Police Department welcomed its two newest police officers this week. Damon Ramsay and Scott Jarrett are both veterans of the Old Orchard Beach Police Department. Although they are already certified officers, they will undergo several weeks of training specific to Sanford before being assigned to patrol shifts.
