Sylvia R. Marsh, 86, of Sanford passed away peacefully after a long illness with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the Summer Commons in Sanford. A time of visitation was held on Monday, September 18, 2023, with a funeral service that followed at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home with a burial following at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford. Ernestine Boulay Larose, 91, died Sunday morning, September 17, 2023, with family at her side at Pinnacle Health Care in North Berwick. She was born May 2, 1932, to Aurele and Rose Blier at home in Keegan/Van Buren, Maine. A child of “The County” she grew up with her 12 siblings where they picked potatoes each fall. Her first husband Robert Boulay and she raised 6 children and after his death she would later marry Arthur Larose who predeceased her. She loved her family so much. Ernestine is survived by her children Gerald Boulay of Sanford, Carol Wood and her husband Russell of Lebanon, Raymond Boulay of Springvale and Jo-Anne Tito and her husband Bill of Shapleigh. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Ignatius Cemetery, Berwick Road, Sanford. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately after at Carol’s house. Anne Elizabeth Rager, 64, of Springvale, lost her life to leukemia on Saturday September 16, 2023. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, February 25, 1959, the daughter of Conrad and Estelle (Herriges) Rawski. She grew up in Milwaukee and Fox Lake Wisconsin. She married her high school sweetheart, Tom Rager shortly after graduating from Waupun High School., Anne successfully battled cancer but soon after, in 2012, she lost her husband Tom to cancer. She then moved to Florida and later to Maine to be close to family. Anne was a very artistic person, enjoying carving birds and her favorite being owls. Thomas W. Garnsey, Sr., 73, of Springvale died September 19. Tom grew up in Sanford and attended Sanford High School. He was an avid skier, Navy veteran and patriarch of the Sanford Dog Park. Before retirement, he was employed at Aerofab and York County Community Action. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
