Fernande M. Bougie, 94, of Sanford passed away on Friday, March 3 at Seal Rock Healthcare in Saco. The youngest of 17 children, she was a devout Catholic and a communicant of St. Therese of Lisieux Parish where she was a member of the Ladies of St Anne and also taught CCD for many years. Ruth C. (Pollard) Senechal, 97, a 1944 graduate of Sanford High School, passed away on February 26 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. She worked as a registered nurse at Goodall Hospital and was a lifetime member of the Sanford-Springvale Ladies VFW Auxiliary. Garfield “Boot” R. Boutilier, 86, passed away on February 12. He was Chief Financial Officer for several hospitals, including Goodall, during his career, and also served as President of the Sanford-Springvale Rotary Club. Emile O. Belanger, 92, died on February 22 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford. A U.S. Army veteran, he worked at Universal Shoe and UNICO in Sanford. Rodney A. Johnson, 92, a native of Sanford and U.S. Navy veteran, passed away on February 25 at his home in Chichester, NH.
