Jason “Jay” Smith, 37, of Saco passed away on February 5 after a brief illness. Jay grew up in Sanford and graduated from Sanford High School, where was captain of the football and baseball teams his senior year. Frances Boivin Sheltra, 93, of Springvale passed away on February 5 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford. Frances grew up in Sanford and attended the local Catholic schools, graduating from St. Ignatius High School in 1947. Diana Joyner, a 1966 graduate of Sanford High School, passed away at the age of 74 on January 23 after a battle with cancer. Edna A. Day, 79, of Sanford passed away on February 7 at Gosnell Home in Scarborough.
