Why Do the Sanford Police Have Armored Vehicles?

Police Chief Thomas Connolly and Lieutenant Craig Andersen met recently with the City Council’s Municipal Operations and Property Subcommittee to address concerns about the necessity for Sanford to have two armored response vehicles. A New Park for Springvale

A small parcel of city-owned land in Springvale is being turned into a lovely park thanks to the efforts of local residents and businesses. The park is located at the corner of Water and Bridge Streets along the Mousam River, across from Notre Dame Church. The Sanford-Springvale YMCA is hosting a scarecrow contest! Families and businesses are welcome to enter a scarecrow to be judged.
