The Maine Department of Education released its county classifications for school reopening on Friday, July 31, and has classified every county in the state as "green." This means that schools can open for in-person instruction, providing they can meet the mandated health and safety standards. Matt Nelson, Sanford’s Superintendent of Schools, held a “Return to School Family Information Night” on Monday, July 27 at the Performing Arts Center. Graffiti Suspects Charged

Sanford Police have charged the two suspects they believe are responsible for spraying graffiti on signs, fences, pavement and buildings in more than 30 locations across the city in the early hours of Monday, July 20. City property and private property alike were vandalized. In several locations graffiti was sprayed in multiple places. August Summer Camp Registration Now Open

Sanford Parks and Recreation has announced that registration is now open for Vacation Camp. Vacation camp will take place at Memorial Gym and you may register for the week of August 10 and/or the week of August 17.  Cost is just $100 per week.
