The Rotary Club of Sanford-Springvale has been very busy lately. Earlier this month they distributed 6,000 masks to the Sanford Police and Fire Departments as well as Sanford Housing Authority, Sanford School Department and York County Shelters Program. And this past week they presented a check for $1,000 to Mike Ouellette of York County Shelter Programs, at the Food Pantry in Sanford. Covid Cases Spiking in Sanford Now, Too

The Maine Centers for Disease Control is reporting a big jump in Covid-19 cases this week here in Sanford and Springvale. The new cumulative total is 188 cases in Sanford and 57 cases in Springvale, for a total of 245 cases in our community. What is most worrisome is that this represents an increase of 23 cases more than last week, by far the largest one-week increase since the pandemic began. New Student Representatives to School Committee

The Sanford School Committee is pleased to announce that Grace Davie and Isabella Farrington were named Sanford School Committee Student Representatives at a meeting held on November 16, 2020. Grace and Isabella will join Student Representative Juliana Levesque, Class of 2021 on the Committee at the next regular School Committee meeting scheduled for December 7, 2020.
