Local businesses are getting in the holiday spirit! This year, Garnsey Brothers Insurance wanted to do something special for area families in need. They purchased 150 Christmas gifts for local families (see photo above), and contacted the Salvation Army to help them "play Santa." Willard School recently ran a contest seeking the best student from each grade level (plus a runner-up) to be the best advocate for service/therapy dogs. Entrants were invited to research the dogs and write an essay on the benefits of dogs in the classroom. Waban raised more than $70,000 in its 49th annual telethon, with the finale hosted on Facebook Live throughout the month of October.
