Memorial Day Schedule

On Monday, May 31, the Sanford Veterans Memorial Committee will be placing wreaths at cemeteries and memorials around the city. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. The Committee will begin at Central Park at 8:00 a.m. and be at each successive stop about 15 minutes later, so the Riverside ceremony will take place at approximately 9:00 and Number One Pond at about 9:45. Catch Spring Fever at the Fair!

St. Thomas School's Annual Spring Fever Fair, originally scheduled for Saturday, May 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the School, 69 North Ave., has been postponed to Saturday, June 5 at St. Ignatius Gym due to weather. The fair will feature some great raffle items, a penny auction, crafts, games for the kids, and a yard sale that includes jewelry, books, children’s toys, household items, tools, and much more. On the morning of Friday, May 14, Sanford Police were called to Diamond Ln. for a report of terrorizing/threatening, and arrested a 47-year-old Sanford resident on charges of violating a protection from abuse order and littering.
