Virtual Job Fairs to Begin April 28

The Tenth Annual York County Job Fair will be run a little differently this year than it has been in the past. Due to the pandemic, the Job Fair will be held online via Zoom webinar and will actually be three separate events. City Council 4/20 Meeting Summary

Mayor Anne-Marie Mastraccio led the Pledge of Allegiance and asked for a moment of silence. All Councilors were present. Carpentier Park Revitalization Planned

If a funding request by the City of Sanford is successful, there will be some great improvements coming to Carpentier Park. Lee Burnett, who works as a grant writer for the City, described the project at the City Council’s April 20 meeting. Final Municipal Budget On Hold

The final 2021-2022 municipal budget is on hold for now, awaiting more information out of Augusta before the City Council will vote to approve or amend it. On April 8, City Manager Steven Buck presented the proposed municipal budget and his recommended amendments to the Budget Committee. The proposed budget includes $30,535,165 in municipal appropriations and $3,922,668 in capital reserve funding, offset by $15,118,696 in municipal revenue.
