Fires The Sanford Fire Department responded to a few fires in the three-week period from November 7 through 27. On the afternoon of November 9, a report of a house fire on Home St. brought out all companies with mutual aid. Upon investigation, it turned out to be a small leaf fire caused by a cigarette. That same day, two other fires were reported which turned out to be improper burning due to people being unaware of the burning regulations.…

Pictured above: Sanford/Springvale Chamber of Commerce members stepped up to the plate to support the Sanford High School Peer Helpers by providing 39 turkeys to be included in Thanksgiving baskets for distribution to families in need.
