Municipal Operations and Property Subcommittee Maintaining Private Roads: The Subcommittee discussed the use of municipal equipment and labor to maintain private roads, mostly for snow plowing, but in the case of some unpaved roads, for grading as well. The issue arose during a meeting between Public Works Director Matt Hill and representatives of the Maine Municipal Association, which is the City’s insurer. One Last Hurdle for Townhouse Solar Project

The Townhouse Solar Project on Hanson Ridge Rd., which has been reviewed twice by the Site Plan Review Committee and the Planning Board, was given conditional approval by both bodies last week. Former Lavalley Lumber Property is Now Sanford Community Forest

Press Release Three Rivers Land Trust is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of its latest preserve: the Sanford Community Forest.
