Car Seat Inspection & Distribution Event

Certified Child Safety Seat Technicians with the Sanford Police Department will be holding a Safety Seat Inspection Event at the Sanford-Springvale YMCA on November 20th from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Parents, caregivers, grandparents or anyone else who may have a child safety seat is welcome to attend. Lend a Hand with a Box of Joy!

The Sanford Backpack Program’s Boxes of Joy campaign is well underway, but it’s not too late to get involved. Each box includes 30 items – one for each day of November – and includes special holiday goodies as well as pantry staples and personal care items. City Council 11/9/21 Meeting Summary

The Sanford City Council met November 9, 2021 via Zoom. Councilors Luke Lanigan and John Tuttle were absent with notice. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilor Ayn Hanselmann. Fire Department Log: October 24 – November 6

Fires On Monday, October 25, six units of the Sanford Fire Department were called out to a chimney fire on Devotion Ave. Fortunately, the structure of the building was not involved. In the early hours of October 27, Engine 4 responded to a generator fire on Provencher Ln. No injuries were reported.
