City to Resume Renaming Duplicate Streets

Credit: Google By Zendelle Bouchard The City of Sanford will resume the process of renaming streets where duplicate names exist, according to Planning and Codes Director Jamie Cole. The project began in 2022 when Sherburne Street in Sanford was renamed Tanguay Street to avoid a conflict with Sherburne Street in Springvale. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on Aug. 25, 1947, the daughter of John and Doris (Larson) Erickson. When she was eight, Lynne and her family moved to Maine, where she attended Sanford High School and the CMMC School of Nursing.
