Council Holds Public Hearing on Retail Marijuana Sales

A public hearing on proposed amendments to four chapters of the zoning ordinance, which would allow retail sales of adult-use cannabis (marijuana) in Sanford, was held at the City Council meeting March 15, 2022. Several of the proposed changes had not previously been discussed at a public meeting, including the fee schedule. Two of the City Council’s subcommittees met March 8 for work sessions. The following items were among those presented and discussed.
