Monday, May 16: A 43-year-old Lyman resident was taken into custody on Cheney St. in Springvale, on a warrant. Tuesday, May 17: A warrant being served on Main St. led to a 33-year-old Sanford resident being arrested for failure to appear in court on a criminal summons. Fire Department Log: May 16-31, 2022

Fires There were three fires in Sanford in the second half of May. In each case, all units and mutual aid responded. On the 22nd, an early morning fire on Kimball St. started when leaves were ignited by a short from an extension cord. May 25, Kimball St. was the scene of a building fire, this time from a battery charger in an apartment. There were no injuries. A deck fire on State St. May 26th was started by smoking…
