Five Properties Declared Dangerous Buildings

At its meeting on October 4, 2022, the Sanford City Council voted to declare five properties in the City as Dangerous Buildings under state law, following separate hearings. The first four properties, which are all vacant, were adjudged dangerous or a nuisance by unanimous vote, while the Council split 4-2 on the last one, which is occupied. The Sanford School Committee met October 3, 2022. Jonathan Mapes was absent, all other members were present. The minutes of September 19 and 26 were approved. There were no public comments. The Spartans Varsity Football team had all the right moves at the Homecoming game on Friday night, besting the Red Eddies of Edward Little High School by a score of 48-8.
