Doreen M. Walker, 75, passed away on December 14, 2022 at Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH. She was in the presence of family and surrounded by love. She was born on November 26, 1947 in Providence, RI, the daughter of Mary Garcia Goulart and Wilburn Turner. She was raised in Bristol, RI and graduated from Colt Memorial High School. Goodall Library To Receive $3 Million For Expansion

The staff of the Goodall Library announced December 27, 2022 that thanks to joint efforts from US Representative Chellie Pingree, Senator Susan Collins, and Senator Angus King, the Library will receive $3 million to renovate and expand the building to better serve the community. The Library was also the recipient of a bequest from a local estate this year earmarked for the project. Historic Sweat Homestead To Become Mousam Way Land Trust’s New HQ
