Sanford Regional Technical Center Maine Department of Education Commissioner Pender Makin visited SRTC on February 1 to kick off the Read to ME Challenge. The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the collaboration between SRTC and Pre-K. Mayflower Place Assisted Living will be transitioning to independent apartments for seniors at the end of June. Those residents who need more care than can be provided by visiting homecare services will be placed in other facilities. The building is owned by Sanford Housing Authority, and services have been provided by North Country Associates, a private company, since they took over the business from Southern Maine Health Care in 2021.
