School Department Proposes 4% Increase

At its meeting on February 27, 2023 Sanford School Committee approved what Superintendent of Schools Matt Nelson described as “a bare bones budget” for fiscal year 2023/24, which will be presented to the City Council on March 7. Obituary: Rodney Albert Johnson

Rodney Albert Johnson, age 92, passed peacefully at home in Chichester, NH, on February 25, 2023, following a long illness.  Rod was born in Sanford, ME, to Mary (Tabor) and George Johnson and educated in Sanford schools.  The eldest of ten children and father to four, his love of family is legend and connects closely with his love of food. The properties are located at 11 Butler St., 52 School Street, 25 State St, 3 Maple St, and 5 Maple St. and include 22 units.
