“Selfies with Scarecrows”   “Selfies with Scarecrows” starts Monday, Oct. 16, and runs through Halloween. Anyone who snaps a selfie with any of the more than 40 scarecrows around town will be eligible for one of 20 prizes, according to Friends of Downtown. Post it on Instagram or Facebok with the hash tag #sanfordscarecrows, tag @friendsof downtownsanford. The more selfies you take, the better your chances. On Friday, October 6, Annalise Stimmell, Audrey Cote, and Hailey Tarbox each scored two goals as the Spartans beat Biddeford, 8-2.  Brielle Landry and Ava Hudson each added goals for Sanford. J. Bernadette “Bernie” Roy 85, of Sanford passed away on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023, at Southbridge Rehab & Living Center in Biddeford. Born in Sanford on May17, 1938 to Valmont and Alpaide (Marcotte) Roy, she attended local schools and graduated from St. Ignatius School as valedictorian of her class.
