Council Tables Polling Place Consolidation

By Zendelle Bouchard At the November 8, 2023 City Council meeting, a public hearing was held on City Clerk Sue Cote’s proposal to consolidate Sanford and Springvale’s three wards in to one, and the three polling locations to one. SPD Officers Making a Difference on Regional Task Forces

By Zendelle Bouchard At the November 6, 2023 City Council meeting, Police Chief Craig Andersen made a presentation on two regional task forces with which Sanford Police Department members are involved. Detective Erik Rae works part-time with the Southern Maine Gang Task Force (SMGTF) which is run out of the FBI’s Boston Division. Holly Daze Set for December 1

By Zendelle Bouchard Sanford’s annual Holly Daze parade and tree lighting will be held Friday, Dec. 1. Parks and Recreation Director Brady Lloyd told the City Council this week that a parade route was selected during a safety meeting held with Police, Fire and Public Works personnel.
