The Sanford Water District has issued a warning about DOXO, a third party website that allows people to pay their utility bills. DOXO is not affiliated with the District or regulated by the Maine Public Utilities Commission. DOXO may charge the customer extra fees, and paying through them may result in a delay of 10 days or more before your payment is received. For some customers, this has resulted in a collection fee being assessed or even disconnection due to non-payment. Please go to the District’s webpage www.sanfordwater.org to make sure your payment will be applied in a timely manner, especially if you are paying within 2 weeks of the bill due date. Payments are not applied to your account until the funds are received at the District office.
