This week’s Sanford Middle School newsletter had the rather alarming news that there are over 800 overdue books needing to be returned to the school library. Please look around your home for any books that may be stamped “Sanford Middle School” or “Sanford Junior High” and help get them back on the shelves.
The SMS pie fundraiser has been extended to October 28. Money and orders need to be turned in to the office by then. Pies may be picked up November 18 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Each grade level top-seller will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to a location of their choice, and there will also be at least one SMS staff member getting a pie in the face from a top-seller.
Sign your kids up now to play with the Sanford-Springvale Basketball Association this winter. Sanford Maine Stage is looking for people who would like to help with their Christmas show “Scrooge With A Twist.” They need people who can help backstage, putting on & taking off props, helping with costumes, make-up, selling concessions during intermission, etc. The show dates are December 4 and 11 at 7:00 p.m. and December 5 and 12 at 2:30 p.m. Performances will be held at The Nasson Little Theatre in Springvale.
