News Notes: May 25, 2022

Gordie Salls, Athletic Director for Sanford High School and Sanford Middle School, has announced his retirement after 28 years with the district. Read the full story in the Spartan Times.

Night Paving: Beginning Sunday, June 5, MaineDOT will begin paving on Route 109 (Wells to the South Sanford Roundabout) and Route 202 (Goodall Hospital to Alfred). Work will be done between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Motorists should expect delays when driving through the work zones and if possible should seek alternate routes around these areas. Please watch out for signage and drive slowly through the work zone.

Waban’s 51st Annual Tele-Fest raised over $107,000, but they’re not done yet! They will be taking donations through the end of May – click here to donate.

With the start of the fall soccer season just a few short months away, Sanford Soccer is looking for dedicated volunteers who are willing to help out as coaches. Some basic soccer knowledge is always a plus, but they’re really just seeking committed volunteers who are willing to help create a fun environment for players ages 5 to 8. If you are able to coach this fall, please email Sam at sanfordsoccerpresident@gmail.com to be notified of the details for their upcoming coaches meeting.
