Congratulations to Sanford High School senior Aislynn Worden for being named one of seven Maine students who are semifinalists in the 2021 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. The semifinalist scholars are chosen on the basis of their accomplishments in many areas including academic and artistic success, career and technical fields, leadership, and involvement in school and the community.  They represent excellence in education and are among the most accomplished youth in our country.  The winner will be chosen later this month from the 625 semifinalists across the country.

Sanford Recreation has a new lacrosse skills and drills program for kids in grades 1-3, run by Sonya and Ryan Lockard. Ryan is a USA Lacrosse certified coach. Sessions will be held on Sunday mornings and Thursday evenings beginning May 13. The cost is $25 for Sanford residents. More info and registration link here.

The Sanford Regional Communications Center is hiring qualified dispatchers to work in the dispatch center at the Sanford Police Department. They are offering a signing bonus of $7,500. More information and application here.
