Maine Attraction Water Ski Team is looking for volunteers to help with the Eastern Region Ski Show Tournament the weekend of July 24-25. Haven’t got your Covid vaccine yet? You can get it today at Southern Maine Health Care’s Walk-In Clinic at 25A June St. They are open seven days a week, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., no appointment needed.

Thanks to the proceeds from their annual Telethon, Waban has broken ground on a new playground.

It’s that time of year to sign your K- 6th grade kids up for field hockey with the Sanford-Springvale Youth Athletic Association. Practices begin Sunday, August 22. Register on their website at https://www.ssyaakids.org/default.aspx.

Former Boston Celtics player Enes Kanter (now with the Portland (OR) Trail Blazers), will be in town July 15, putting on a free basketball camp for kids at the Nasson Community Center Gym. All available slots were immediately snapped up. Attendees will get free pizza and t-shirts in addition to basketball skills!

Members of the Rotary Club of Sanford-Springvale have been busy, manning the concession stand at a recent Mainers’ game, and painting and prepping their ice cream shed for the Acton Fair.

Southern Maine Health Care (SMHC) invites all job seekers to its upcoming hiring event in South Sanford. They have openings in customer service, housekeeping, professional clinical services, behavioral health support, nursing and nursing support, and general support services (nutrition, security, housekeeping, etc.). Entry level as well as skilled and certified positions are available. The event will be held Wednesday, July 14, from 3:00 – 5:30 p.m. at 1364 Main Street (the former Marshall’s store and vaccine clinic). All are welcome to attend.
