The Sanford Police Department now has five nationally-certified car seat installers. Det. Everett Allen, Ofc. Nicole Root, Det. Colleen Adams, Ofc. Marshall Davis, and Ofc. For $100, a one-time tax-deductible donation, you can honor and/or remember someone special with an engraved nameplate on the armrest of a seat at the Sanford Performing Arts Center. From July 5-10, “Patriot Subaru’s 12 Weeks of Giving” puts the spotlight on the Sanford-Springvale YMCA. During the week, Patriot will donate $25 for every vehicle sold to the Y, and $50 if you live in Sanford-Springvale.
The YMCA and Trafton Center will be open regular hours on Monday, July 5.
Starting July 6, yoga instructor Betsy Baker will do 8 weeks of breathing techniques on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. live on the YMCA’s Facebook page. All 15-minute videos will be available for future viewing.

The Center for Grieving Children is a finalist for the Red Sox Foundation IMPACT Awards. Whichever organization gets the most votes, wins a $10,000 grant.
