Sanford Tractor Supply is hosting a Farmers Market on Saturday, October 1st. There is no charge to sell your homegrown or homemade goods at this event, but you must register by September 13. You can register online here or call the store at 207-490-0034 and ask a manager for more info.
The Sanford School Department has published school bus stops and times on its website here. Due to a bus driver shortage, some bus routes have been combined to begin the school year. This change will result in longer ride times for some students. They are continuing to search for additional drivers. If you are interested in becoming a driver or monitor, contact Ledgemere at 207-324-4888.
Is your grocery budget getting squeezed by inflation? The Sanford Backpack Program has made a handy flyer of food resources available in the community, which you can find here. The Backpack Program will have one more free community food distribution on August 25, before resuming their regular school-year schedule.
The Stuff the Bus Backpack Distribution will be held Wednesday, August 24th from 5 pm until 8 pm or while supplies last in front of Willard School. Please bring an index card with the child’s name and grade written clearly on it. Children must be present to choose their own backpack. It is open to Pre-K thru grade 12. Please encourage children to choose quickly, so as to keep the line moving smoothly. Please drive through the Willard School half circle in front of the building cautiously. Station A will be grade Pre-K thru 3, Station B will be Grade 4 thru 12.
Are you the parent or guardian of a Sanford Middle School student? If you missed the SMS 2022 Welcome Letter, you can find it here.
