Bean suppers are back! The monthly bean suppers at the Crossroads United Methodist Church will resume March 26 and will continue the last Saturday of each month from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Church hall at 16 Grammar Rd. The cost is $8, kids under 5 eat free. The menu includes two kinds of beans, American chop suey, cole slaw, mac & cheese, ham, hot dogs, brown bread and dessert.
Concert Cancelled: The Romantic Classical Music concert at the Sanford-Springvale Historical Museum, which had originally been scheduled for February 11 and then postponed to March 4, has been cancelled. The featured pianist, Laura Kargul, who was injured last month in a fall on the ice, has not sufficiently recovered to perform. We wish her a speedy recovery!

Prime Time is a YMCA family membership benefit designed to allow all family members an opportunity to utilize the Y at the same time. Prime Time offers age appropriate rooms and activities, such as arts & crafts, story time, gross motor activities and use of Prime Time toys, with well-trained staff members. GOP Kickoff: The Sanford Republican Committee is off to a quick start for the 2022 election season, hosting the Lincoln Breakfast on February 12 and the Sanford/Lebanon GOP Caucuses on February 19 at Memorial Gym. Candidates for several state and county offices had the opportunity to speak with supporters. Among those who attended were former Governor Paul LePage and his wife Ann; State Rep. Matt Harrington, who will be running for Senate District 33 in the June primary; Lucas Lanigan and Matthew Toth, candidates for State Representative Districts 141 and 143, respectively; and Roger Hicks, candidate for York County Sheriff.
