The Goodall Library has free kids’ Halloween craft kits available Tuesday October 27. Simply call ahead on that day so they know to bring one out to your car, or walk up and ring the doorbell and they will hand it right to you. The kit includes two wooden Halloween ornaments, assorted paints in mini jars, a paint brush, and Halloween-themed coloring pages.
There’s still time to enter the Halloween Yard Decorating Contest. All it takes is a $10 donation to benefit the Sanford Backpack Program and your spooky creativity! Judging for Scariest and Most Original will take place this Tuesday and Wednesday. More info and sign up here.
On Thursday, October 29, join Missy and Richie of the Paranormal Five as they discuss Halloween and the spirits behind it, share some of their own spooky encounters, and talk about some local haunted spots. The program will be streamed live on the Springvale Library’s Facebook page at 6:00 p.m.
Pilot’s Cove Café has two big events planned for next weekend. On Friday, October 30, they have a screening of the cult classic movie The Rocky Horror Picture Show. $25 admission includes an appetizer sampler, drink ticket and a specialty dessert. On Halloween night, it’s their 2nd Annual Flights & Frights Halloween costume party from 7:00 to 10:00, with a live DJ, giveaways and drink specials for $20 per person. Both events are 21+ and space is limited, so reserve your spot today by emailing info@pilotscovecafe.com, or call 850-1183.
