Children ages 12 and under are eligible to register now for a Virtual Egg Hunt hosted by Sanford Parks and Rec. The Egg Hunt is free, but you must register on the Parks and Rec website, and complete the game before midnight on Sunday, April 4. To play, register on the Sanford Parks & Rec website at https://sanfordrec.com/info/activities/program_details.aspx?ProgramID=29897. Then visit the following Sanford merchants in order to get the number from their egg. Eggs have been posted in highly visible windows of these merchants.
Once you have all of the numbers from the eggs – a total of 10, you can do the “word scramble”.
Once you think you have figured out the word scramble, you can submit your entry by calling Sanford Parks and Recreation at 324-9130. You can also email your submission to recreation@sanfordmaine.org – just be sure you are registered first, and leave your name with your word scramble guess.
Prizes have been donated by a variety of Sanford businesses. All registered participants who have submitted a word scramble guess by midnight on Easter will have their name put in a hat for a drawing of the prizes.
Some of the great prizes donated are: gift certificates to Frannie’s Mini Donuts, Shain’s of Maine, McDonald’s, and Mountain View Mini Golf & Adventure Park; a Bowl-A-Rama family bowling outing; Dairy Queen 4 pack cup cakes; Pine Hollow family golf outing; Smittys Cinema family movie outing; Aroma Joes Drink Cards; 2 Sanford Parks and Rec Back Packs filled with Goodies; and a mystery prize from Warren’s Office Supply.
Good Luck and Happy Easter!
