Want to create something special for the holidays? Sanford Community Adult Education has you covered. All classes will be held in the Arts Afire Studio at the Anderson Learning Center on Bradeen St., except as noted.
Create a beautiful, lush, full fir wreath to perfect your holiday door this season. Greens, form, wire and bow will be provided ($12 payable to instructor at class). Please feel free to bring in any embellishments you wish to add! Light work gloves are recommended. Bring wire cutters and hand brush cutters if you have them! Tuesday, 12/1; 6:00-8:00pm; $28. Register here.
Here’s a fun project for everyone! Last year this was one of our most popular sessions! We’ll be creating handbuilt clay ornaments (like the ones shown above) to decorate your holiday tree. Course fee includes clay and firing. Friday, 12/4; 6:00-8:00pm; Register here for the individual class ($40) or here for a family of four ($65)
These are not your Grandma’s garden Gnomes. These cute little guys live inside on a shelf or fireplace mantle. Using both machine and hand sewing techniques, Lynne will show you how to make these adorable Gnomes from fleece and recycled sweaters. What a cute holiday display these guys will make!! Some sewing skills required (threading a needle/sewing a button). Please bring a sewing machine in working order. Materials fee $15 payable to the instructor. Tuesday, 12/8; 6:00-8:00pm; $28. Register here.
