Nov 21st – 23rd: Thanksgiving Craft Kits: Thanksgiving-themed craft kits will be available while supplies last in the library lobby. See photo above. Suggested for ages 4 and up. Each kit includes a DIY fall bookmark, turkey stickers, and coloring pages.
Now – Dec 31st: Holiday Food Drive: ‘Tis the season of giving! Donate nonperishable food items, hygiene products, hats, mittens, and pet food to help community members in need.
Dec 2nd – 30th: Film Fridays: Holiday Edition: Each Friday during the month of December, when you check out a movie you will get a bag of popcorn and a box of candy to go with it! Remember there is a limit of 4 DVDs per checkout at a time. While supplies last.
Dec 1st – 3rd: December Craft Kits: Winter-themed craft kits will be available while supplies last in the library lobby Suggested for ages 3 and up. Each kit includes a popsicle snowman craft and coloring pages.
Dec 10th @ 11am – 1pm: Photos w/Santa & Gift Wrapping Fundraiser: Join us at the library for free photos with Santa, sponsored by Tiffany Moreau of KW Realty! (207) 608-2728. You can bring your own phone or camera to take photos of your kids with Santa, or a library staff member can take photos for you. The first 50 kids will get a free gift bag, and adults can enter some great raffles. PLUS bring your holiday gifts and give a donation to the library to have us wrap them for you to ease the stress of your Christmas season. You won’t want to miss this!
Dec 12th – Feb 25th: Winter Reading Program: Reading challenges for adults, teens, and kids. Use the free Beanstack app, register at lbgoodall.beanstack.org, or ask for a paper log. Sign up between Dec 1st and Dec 12th; program and prizes begin Dec 12th. Kids earn prizes as they go for meeting reading goals and adults earn raffle tickets as they go for a great winter prize basket. For more information email nbowley@lbgoodall.org.
Dec 17th @ 2pm – 3pm: A Child’s Christmas at Goodall: Join Miss Lexi while she reads a Christmas story or two to the group, followed by a chance to paint and take home your own Christmas ornament. Holiday books and movies will be on display for checkout as well, plus free snacks! Suggested for ages 4 and up.

Looking for cozy Christmas gifts? The library sells merchandise like hoodies, t-shirts, stainless steel travel mugs, stickers, cookbooks, canvas totes, and more. Hoodies say “I Support My Local Library” so they are good for anyone regardless of if they’re local or not. Kids tees say “I Love My Library” for the same reason – send them to any littles nationwide! Order and pay with cash, check, or Venmo at the library front desk.
We have sleds available to check out with your library card once the snow hits!
We have tons of great new and classic books, movies, tv shows, puzzles, audiobooks, and more in our collection. Visit minerva.maine.edu to browse and put items on hold.
Story Times for young children continue to be held on Thursdays. Baby/Toddler Rhyme Time (ages 0-3) is at 10:30am, and Pre-K Story Time is at 11:00am.
Lego Club for school aged children also continues to be held on Wednesdays from 2:30pm – 4:30pm. Suggested ages 5-12. Build a Lego creation and put it on display in the Children’s Room.
Crocheting with Lisa is an ongoing program on Wednesdays from 5:30pm – 7:00pm. Bring your own knitting and crocheting supplies and work on your projects while you chat.
